We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Specialist to join our facilities team at St. Olaf College. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facility Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and food service equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain HVAC systems, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing systems, including installation and repair of toilets, urinals, fixture faucets, drain, and supply water piping.
- Operate a computerized building automation system, including programming building occupancy schedules and monitoring system for equipment and campus alarms.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with campus event setup and periodic metal fabrication and welding.
- Journeyman level of experience in one or more of the job functions listed above.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, and to deal with pressure situations.
- Ability to work with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.
The successful candidate will work a standard 7:00 am - 4:00 pm schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening hours as needs arise. The position is a 12-month, year-round position with a full-time FTE of 1.0.
