Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist 2 to join our team at the New York State Office of Mental Health. As a Psychiatrist 2, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive and recovery-oriented psychiatric treatment services to individuals with serious mental illness.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that promote mental and physical health and recovery.
  • Prescribe and manage medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in New York State.
  • Board certification in general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
