Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in cross-functional R&D teams to design, prototype, test, and manufacture new and improved designs.
  • Analyze and identify root causes of both existing and emerging design issues.
  • Partner with Failure Analysis teams to investigate field failures.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Engineering to ensure material and supplier continuity.
  • Work alongside Manufacturing teams to facilitate the production of new products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong time management skills, including goal setting, prioritization, and timely task completion.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, MathCAD, and AutoCAD for document development.
  • Experience in the robotics sector is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with all stages of the product development lifecycle, from design to manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Competence in setting up experiments and utilizing measurement and testing equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of component selection, reliability, and manufacturability in design.
  • Proficient in Finite Element Analysis and traditional hand calculations for materials strength, power transmissions, and dynamics.
  • Experience in electrical systems design and control.
  • Skilled in designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort in leading design reviews.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for problem-solving and a passion for developing robust, reliable products.
