Server Representative

Server Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at the Jalapeno Tree Mexican Restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking and delivering orders, and ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide information about the menu, specials, and make recommendations accordingly.
• Take accurate food and drink orders from guests, ensuring that special requests and dietary/allergy restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor and attend to guests' needs throughout their meal.
• Present checks to guests, process payments, and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the server station, dining area, and other workspaces.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash and credit transactions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Certifications:

• TABC Certification for serving alcohol.
• Texas Food Handlers Certification.

Skills:

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests and provide an exceptional dining experience.
• Clear and effective communication skills for taking orders, interacting with guests, and coordinating with team members.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in using point of sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move at a rapid pace, bend, twist, and lift products weighing up to 35 pounds.
