Chief Cardiology Specialist

At the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, we seek a highly skilled and experienced board-certified cardiologist to lead our cardiology services. As the head of our department, you will be responsible for expanding and growing our cardiology services, ensuring excellence in postgraduate teaching and training, and overseeing our ACVIM cardiology residency training program.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology, with experience in clinical and basic science research. Opportunities for collaborative research exist both at AMC and with leading institutions such as Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Weill Cornell Medical School, and NYU. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a GE Vivid 9 ultrasound system, Holter recorders, Biotronik and Medtronic pacemaker interrogators, and a new Cardiology Suite for direct patient care.
We offer a competitive salary range of $280,000-310,000 per year, plus an annual service head stipend, generous sign-on bonus, four-day work week, comprehensive benefits, paid continuing education time-off and stipend, 403-b retirement plan with employer contribution, possibility of housing in an AMC apartment building or assistance to find housing, school loan debt forgiveness opportunity as a non-profit hospital, and a collegial work environment with strong teaching and mentoring opportunities.
