Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and assign diagnoses based on recorded data and current research.
- Establish and implement care plans, adhering to protocols and standards of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Order and perform diagnostic procedures, develop treatment plans, and monitor therapeutic interventions.
- Contribute to staff education, promote professionalism, and advance own professional development.
- Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated competence as a practitioner.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Technical patient care devices and computer proficiency.
Education/Expertise:
Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.
Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, and lifting frequently.
- Pushing, pulling, and carrying 50 lbs frequently.
- Reaching, handling, and grasping frequently.
Work Environment:
UH St. John Medical Center provides high-quality healthcare in a faith-based Catholic hospital setting, including a Level 3 trauma center.
