Physical Therapist Job Opportunity

Clarinda Regional Health Center is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. This position requires 20 hours of work per week, with varying hours and days between Monday and Friday, including a weekend rotation.

Primary Function:

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for performing patient evaluations, interventions, and documentation in accordance with the facility's mission, vision, and values. This will include areas of care such as the Emergency Department, observation, acute, and swing bed units.

The Physical Therapist will promote preventative care through patient education and caregiver involvement. They will also maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility to advance exceptional care.

The Physical Therapist will assist with coordination of care for observation, acute, and swing bed patients, as well as safe discharge planning and therapy follow-up care needs.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy with a BS, MS, MPT, or DPT degree.
  • Must pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
  • Must possess a current Iowa Physical Therapist License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of employment.
  • Mandatory Reporter of Iowa Certificates (Dependent Adult and Child Abuse) are required, or the ability to obtain them within 60 days of employment.
