Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing technical procedures and assisting in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures to create high-quality images for medical evaluation.
  • Assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients, including preparing them for procedures and providing support during exams.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for patients, adhering to radiation safety measures and following hospital protocols.
  • Support teaching and continuing education initiatives to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate (high school +1).
  • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
Work Schedule

Full-time night shift position, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts per week.
