Job SummaryThe Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting quality food to our guests, ensuring that every traveler leaves our travel center better than they came. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food to order, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Perform prep cook tasks, such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
- Set up and maintain broiler, fryer, and grill stations according to line check sheets.
- Complete prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklist sheets.
- Practice safe food handling and storage procedures, as well as waste control procedures.
- Maintain equipment per operating standards.
- Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
- Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
- A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
- Previous food service experience a plus.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Physical demands of this role include standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending over, crouching, crawling, climbing, and repetitive use of legs. The team member is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs and/or move heavy objects.
