Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist evaluates clients after impairment, injury, or disease, and plans, designs, and implements individualized occupational therapy treatment programs after referral from a physician.
Interventions may include therapeutic exercise, functional retraining, use of thermal and electrical modalities, splinting, and use of various other training and retraining skills.
Periodically reevaluates client to determine effectiveness of interventions and contributes to discharge planning.
The OT supervises treatment provided by students, technicians, or assistants and recommends client care interventions to other members of the health care team to contribute to the client's rehabilitation process.
The OT delegates and instructs supportive personnel in services to be provided and performs other duties as requested by the manager.
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Occupational Therapist - Various
- Bachelor's Degree
Work Environment:
Full-time position with a Day schedule (United States of America)
