About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeSense. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles to increase effectiveness.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary to ensure tasks and activities are completed according to store plan.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, as well as organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Communication and Organization: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.

We offer a competitive starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, as well as a range of benefits including Associate discount, EAP, smoking cessation, bereavement, 401(k) Associate contributions, and more.
