Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Family Support Services team at Kids on the Move. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for conducting psychological evaluations and providing diagnoses for children ages 0-17.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis:
    • Conduct thorough psychological evaluations using standardized tests, clinical interviews, and behavioral observations.
    • Diagnose mental health and developmental conditions using DSM-5 criteria.
    • Prepare detailed evaluation reports and effectively communicate findings to families.
  • Treatment Planning:
    • Collaborate with families and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
    • Provide recommendations for further interventions and services, including referrals to other professionals as needed.
  • Consultation & Collaboration:
    • Work closely with KOTM's multidisciplinary team, including speech-language pathologists and behavior analysts, to coordinate care.
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Family Education & Support:
    • Educate families on psychological aspects of their child's diagnosis and provide strategies to support their child's development.
    • Offer ongoing support and resources to help families navigate their child's care.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans in compliance with KOTM's policies and relevant regulations.
    • Ensure documentation meets insurance and billing requirements.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay updated with the latest research and developments in child psychology and neurodevelopmental disorders.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to training sessions for staff and families.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Licensed or license-eligible to practice psychology in the state of Utah.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents, with a strong preference for experience in assessing and diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Proficiency in electronic health records and familiarity with insurance billing for psychological services.
