Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Bennett Steel Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial record-keeping, with the ability to accurately record and maintain our day-to-day financial activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a system for posting financial transactions
  • Record and maintain accurate financial records, including purchases, payments, receipts, and sales
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to analyze financial transactions and prepare financial reports
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintain previous financial records
  • Coordinate with accounting staff to collect information, analyze, and create financial reports
  • Issue invoices to buyers and suppliers in a timely manner
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts
  • Manage petty cash and general ledgers
  • Process accounts receivables and accounts payables
  • Provide administrative support to the staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 2 years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero, and Zoho Books
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
