Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Engage with patients to understand their medication needs, provide education on proper use, and offer guidance on medication interactions and side effects.
  • Manage Medications: Verify prescriptions, compound medications, and ensure accurate dispensing of medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Communicate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and refills, and provide feedback on patient outcomes.
  • Support Pharmacy Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, and pharmacy software and technology systems.
