Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Denver Health Main Campus - Pavilion L. This role involves performing essential screening and diagnostic mammograms under the supervision of a radiologist.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA Required
  • RTM-RT Mammography - ARRT Required
  • RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT Required
Job Details
  • Schedule: 4x10, Monday-Thursday
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in breast screening and diagnostic procedures
  • Equipment: Hologic

Role Responsibilities

As a Mammography Technologist, you will:

  • Conduct screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring high-quality imaging.
  • Utilize the Denver Health PACS system for efficient record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate patient information in Epic.
  • Assist in scheduling breast diagnostic studies and managing department inventory.
  • Uphold a clean and organized work environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in operating digital mammography equipment.
  • Competence in performing screening and diagnostic mammograms.
  • Understanding of age-specific care needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret physician orders accurately.
  • Judgment in configuring equipment settings for optimal image quality.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in breast imaging.
  • Education: Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program Required.
  • On-call requirement: No.
Additional Information
  • RTO Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO per 13-week contract, highly encouraged.
  • Scrub Color: Rich Purple/Eggplant.
