Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse 2

At Case Western Reserve University, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Registered Nurse 2 to join our University Health and Counseling Services team.

Job Summary:

The Staff Registered Nurse 2 will provide age-specific, developmentally appropriate nursing services and education to students, faculty, and staff accessing care at University Health and Counseling Services. This role will work under limited supervision and will be responsible for providing immunizations and laboratory support to the clinic, as well as overseeing logistics for mass immunization and testing events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in all clinical settings, with a focus on expedited clinics including immunizations and labs required for occupational health or health science students.
  • Assess patient needs, provide appropriate interventions, document all clinical activities promptly in the electronic health record, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Manage on-call reports and nurse task lists.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including systems to assure prompt filing of medical information in the patient chart.
  • Lead a care management, quality improvement project for a defined area within the Health Service, specifically managing the immunization compliance data collection program for students.
Requirements:
  • Possess clinical nursing experience in direct patient care.
  • Commitment to and appreciation of working with diverse groups of individuals, including age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression.
