Responsibilities:

* Provide legendary world-class customer service skills and a friendly and positive attitude
* Coordinate activities of cashiers and keep records of funds received
* Perform cashiering and other clerical duties to relieve subordinates during peak work periods
* Search records to assist subordinates in locating and reconciling posting errors on customers' invoices
* Allocate operating funds to cashiering stations
* Perform safe counts and prepare all cash registers before store opening
* Total and summarize funds received and prepare bank deposit slips
* Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
* Maintain a balanced cash drawer
* Understand and operate the inventory system for price checking and item lookups
* Make change; take checks; run credit/debit cards and issue receipts or tickets to customers
* Read and record totals shown on cash register tape and verify against cash on hand
* Give cash refunds or issue credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise according to Country Supplier's refund policies
* Operate cash register by passing price-coded items across electronic scanner to record price, compile printed list, and display the cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on the monitor screen
* Watch Country Supplier's safety videos and perform duties in accordance with safety training
* Answer all incoming phone calls and forward them to the appropriate personnel
* Assist in the training of other associates or new employees
* Stock shelves, straighten merchandise, keep aisles and end caps looking sharp

Requirements:

* Efficient and accurate
* Knowledgeable on the cash drawer operating system
* Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally engaging in assisted lifting over 50 pounds
