Healogics stands as the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, managing over 300,000 chronic wound patients each year across more than 600 locations. With an aging population, rising obesity and diabetes rates, along with an increase in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds requiring expert care is on the rise. Consequently, the company is striving to extend our distinguished, quality outcomes to as many patients as possible through our outpatient clinic partnerships.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, the Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers wound-related and fundamental nursing care to the center's patients in accordance with all WCC and hospital policies and procedures, care and safety protocols, and Clinical Services Practice Guidelines.

All Healogics employees are expected to perform their job responsibilities in compliance with all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as the standards set by accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the RN/Provider, administers wound-related patient care following Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols, Policies & Procedures.
  • Assists in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
  • May support intake and discharge processes.
  • May assist with case management under the direction of RN, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Collects patient information.
  • Prepares necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider.
  • Reports quality of care concerns to Clinical Nurse Manager.
  • Communicates as necessary with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions to ensure quality of care.
  • Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties as needed, after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric training.
  • May undertake hyperbaric safety director duties after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training.
  • May act as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
  • Performs other assigned duties.
Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program/state-approved educational program.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice, to be maintained throughout employment in this position.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as LPN/LVN, including one (1) or more years in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting.
  • Wound care experience is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • Proven organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills and follow-up abilities.
  • Capacity to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

  • Ability to maintain composure in all situations.
  • Familiarity with computerized nursing systems.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $26.07-$37.12 Per Hour.
