Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in White Plains, New York.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and special procedure imaging
  • Prepare patients for procedures
  • Assist radiologists as needed
  • Operate and maintain equipment
  • Develop and process film/CDs
  • Adhere to established radiology standards of care
  • Apply principles of radiation protection
  • Assume responsibility for assigned area and duties
  • Provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification in nuclear medicine required
  • NY State DOH Radiologic Technologist licensure required
  • BLS certification required

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the department to access patients and paperwork
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with patients who have questions about their bills/financial obligations
  • Must be able to observe and inspect employees and patients in the department
  • Frequently move and position patients for exams
  • May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks
