Position Overview

We are currently in search of a highly motivated and dedicated Customer Support Advocate who will serve as a customer champion within Optimas for a designated pool of customer accounts. Customer Support Advocates are tasked with ensuring that customers consistently receive exceptional service from all departments and personnel at Optimas.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for managing customer accounts include:
  • Facilitating communication between customers and various Optimas departments as needed.
  • Processing orders, tracking order status, and expediting parts for customers.
  • Collaborating with Materials and Production Control to plan and schedule orders for assigned accounts.
  • Managing and coordinating Requests for Quotations (RFQs) or directing them to the appropriate group.
  • Documenting and providing feedback on the Optimas customer relationship.
  • Delivering regular status reports on materials to customers and managing inventory liabilities.
  • Identifying new opportunities to enhance sales with assigned accounts or transitioning them to other teams for development.
  • Taking necessary actions to resolve service and product quality issues.
  • Reporting account status to senior management as required.
  • Engaging proactively with customers through various communication channels to maximize their purchasing with Optimas.
  • Assessing how Optimas can add value to each account's purchasing needs.
  • Coordinating and leading activities and communications between each account and Optimas business departments to achieve effective business solutions.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in Customer Service - Committed to achieving departmental objectives and goals set by senior management while adhering to company policies and fostering a positive attitude.
  • Administrative Skills - Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Production and Processing Knowledge - Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
  • Computer Proficiency - Ability to operate software and electronic devices, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Oral and Written Communication - Capability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.

Physical Demands / Travel
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Primarily a desk/office environment with minimal travel requirements.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
