Geriatric Psychiatrist

Emory University is seeking a highly qualified Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our vibrant team of clinicians, educators, and researchers. As a full-time attending in the geriatric outpatient/PHP/inpatient program, you will provide psychiatric care for new patients, supervise fellows, residents, and advanced practice nurses, conduct quality assessments, attend case conferences, and participate in administrative meetings and educational functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide psychiatric care for new patients
- Supervise fellows, residents, and advanced practice nurses
- Conduct quality assessments
- Attend case conferences
- Participate in administrative meetings and educational functions
The attending will have the opportunity to participate in research, including research studies in the clinic, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of evidence-based clinics and specialty treatments.
Administrative and Teaching Responsibilities:The attending will be responsible for covering inpatient on-call services at Emory as part of the faculty call system. The position will be 80% clinical care and 20% administration and teaching or research. Research or related funds can offset the percent time for any of these activities.
Requirements:- MD or DO degree
- Completion of a four-year psychiatry residency program and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship
- Must hold or be eligible for State of Georgia medical license
- Must be board certified or board eligible
