Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Brookdale South Bay AL/SNF. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining high resident satisfaction, cost controls, sanitation standards, employee training, and providing quality food and service to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Culinary Director in maintaining high resident satisfaction, cost controls, sanitation standards, employee training, and providing quality food and service to the residents.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Monitor and enforce safe food handling practices, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Participate in conducting food inventory, managing supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Director to develop and implement new menu ideas and culinary programs.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service and quality food.
Requirements
  • College degree in the hospitality field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in various phases of food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Current ServSafe Certification required.
