Role Summary:

Salesforce Inc. is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will:

  • Maintain high availability of customer-facing services by ensuring the health of supporting systems through proactive monitoring and response to alerts.
  • Act as a key support resource during critical incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and directives while overseeing the work of the Site Reliability team.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues.
  • Manage the commissioning and decommissioning of Windows OS servers based on operational requirements.
  • Analyze the impact of customer behavior on applications and systems.
  • Evaluate the technical stack during change implementations.
  • Stay informed about industry innovations and technologies in collaboration with team members.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assist in preparing technical proposals as needed.
  • Work towards automating the detection and resolution of recurring production issues.
  • Participate in an On-Call rotation and serve as an escalation point during assigned periods.

Telecommuting: This position offers the option to work remotely, with some travel to Salesforce offices as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Master's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, along with two years of experience in software engineering or program analysis. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in the same fields, combined with five years of progressively responsible experience, is acceptable.
