Audiology Professor

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Professor of Audiology to join our team.
The Assistant Professor of Clinical Audiology will administer and interpret various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, while contributing to the department's visibility, academic, and research standing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic audiology and rehabilitation services
- Select, administer, and interpret auditory tests, including high-frequency audiometry and middle ear function testing
- Conduct diagnostic audiology testing for differential diagnosis of cochlear/retro-cochlear hearing loss
- Test for non-organic hearing loss and noise-induced hearing loss
- Use real ear measurement equipment, including live speech mapping, to validate and verify hearing instrument fittings
- Provide ear care and wax removal services, as needed
- Identify and refer patients for speech-language, educational, medical, psychological, social, and vocational services
- Select ear molds, personal amplification, and/or assistive listening devices
- Develop in-depth knowledge of hearing aid manufacturers, including Oticon, GN Resound, and Phonak, as well as BAHA
- Travel to satellite clinics may be required
Requirements:
- Doctorate of Audiology degree required
- Current/valid Florida Audiologist license required
- Bilingual is preferred
