Job Summary

PACS Inc is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing effective treatment plans, and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral, or 1 business day, and document any delays in the medical record.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
  • Provide direct patient care and supervise Speech Language Pathologist Assistants as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences as required.
  • Record evaluations, treatment notes, progress notes, and recertification documentation in accordance with state practice acts and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in in-service training programs for facility staff and provide caregiver training in preparation for patient discharge.
  • Act as a clinical preceptor for affiliating Speech Language Pathologists and students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field, with a preference for graduates of Master's or Doctorate programs.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including data input into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.
  • Ability to read technical procedures, policy manuals, and effectively present information to various audiences.
  • Mathematical skills, including the ability to apply concepts to practical situations.
  • Reasoning ability, including the ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
  • Licensure as a Speech Therapist in the state, with a commitment to ongoing continuing education and maintaining a license in good standing.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
