Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing, to identify and diagnose actual or potential health problems.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, laboratory tests, and procedures, to address patient needs and promote optimal health outcomes.
- Communication and Education: Educate patients and their families about prescribed treatments, medications, and self-care techniques to ensure informed decision-making and optimal health outcomes.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient medical records, including progress notes, test results, and treatment plans.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve shared goals.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Oklahoma.
- Certification: Current BLS certification.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a surgery setting (ISMC Neurosurgical Dept Only), 1 year of experience in a comprehensive emergency department setting (Emergency Department Only), or current ACLS certification if working with adults required in acute care environments (NZTI only), and current PALS certification if working with children required in acute care environments (NZTI only).
