Exercise Specialist

Marathon Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is a dynamic and growing organization seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Exercise Specialist to join our team. As an Exercise Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and Physical Therapists to implement personalized exercise programs.
Responsibilities:- Assist MPT staff during fitness assessments, exercise sessions, and rehabilitation programs.
- Observe and learn from experienced clinicians, gaining insights into best practices and advanced exercise techniques.
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to patients during exercise sessions.
- Engage in regular training sessions and educational workshops to enhance your clinical knowledge and exercise skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: BS in Health, Exercise, Physiology, or Kinesiology.
- Preferred Certifications: BLS Competencies.
- Passion for working with patients and a strong desire to pursue a career as an Exercise Specialist.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and the healthcare team.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A strong commitment to learning and continuous professional development.
- A degree of physical strength is necessary, as the job requires the lifting and moving.

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patient and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required.
Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite health care service. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
