Job Title: Infrastructure Systems Analyst

At Taylor University, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Systems Analyst to join our Infrastructure Services team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the efficient management and operation of our server and storage resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and secure physical and virtual Windows servers, in partnership with the Security Analyst.
  • Install and configure physical and virtual Windows servers.
  • Maintain inventory and monitoring for all Windows servers.
  • Manage Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online hybrid environment.
  • Create one-off mailboxes and Microsoft 365 groups.
  • Administer Microsoft Teams and Cloud PBX communications systems.
  • Support communication and collaboration needs for campus users.
  • Install and manage the university Storage Array Networks, in partnership with the Systems Analyst (Linux).
  • Manage university on-premise and cloud backup systems, in partnership with the Systems Analyst (Linux) and Applications Analyst.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in managing infrastructure systems in a professional role.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange/Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, and Cloud PBX (Teams Phone).
  • Proficiency in backup and disaster recovery (Commvault) procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA) are a plus.
Work Environment:

Indoor work environment, with occasional outdoor work required. Average physical effort is needed. Perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: stand, sit, kneel, stoop, reach, lift, grasp, finger, see (near and far) for reading and data analysis on a computer screen, hear and talk for ordinary conversation and telephone calls. Perform analytical and cognitive thinking and decision making. Occasionally travel alone to training or conferences. Work occasionally during non-business hours for scheduled maintenance to minimize the impact to customers. Expected to be on-call to respond to emergency outages or repair efforts. Based on the Taylor University campus in Upland, Indiana.
