Job Overview - Floor Maintenance Specialist
  1. Key Responsibilities:

    1. Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, dust mopping, and wet mopping of various floor types. 2. Operate equipment such as buffers and automatic scrubbers to scrub, strip, buff, wax, and polish floor surfaces. 3. Maintain equipment in proper working order and report any issues to the supervisor. 4. Ensure utility and custodial areas are kept clean and organized. 5. Clean and maintain rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms. 6. Vacuum and clean carpeted areas effectively. 7. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, and windows, ensuring cleanliness inside and out. 8. Move furniture and equipment as needed. 9. Adhere to all safety protocols while performing duties. 10. Complete additional tasks as assigned. 11. Be available for on-call emergencies after hours.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED; 2 to 4 years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Reasoning Skills
Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Capable of addressing problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
