Job Summary:

The Gastrointestinal Technician is a vital member of our surgical team, responsible for assisting physicians during invasive gastrointestinal procedures. As a scrub assistant, you will be responsible for handing sterilized instruments, scopes, and supplies to the physician without unnecessary delay. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

* Assist physicians during gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring the smooth execution of the procedure and the safety of the patient
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide continuous, quality patient care
* Participate in departmental Performance Improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent required
* Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
* Graduate of a training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years experience in a GI setting preferred
