About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the design and development of our Enterprise MLOps and Analytics Platform at MD Anderson Center. The Principal Machine Learning Engineer will be instrumental in creating a secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure for AI/ML model management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers to create a hybrid compute environment with Kubernetes and Azure.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for ML model training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Develop and refine Model Governance integrations and performance tracking for bias and impact.
  • Innovate automated validation, deployment, observability, and management tools for reproducible AI solutions.
  • Design fallback and decommissioning strategies for AI solutions.
  • Deliver training on AI solutions to enhance understanding across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Seven years of experience in machine learning engineering, data science, and/or software engineering (five years with Master's degree, three years with PhD).
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML platforms, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.

Estimated Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000 per year

Location: MD Anderson Center
