Academic Advisor

South Dakota State University is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to serve as an Academic Advisor in our First Year Advising Center.

This is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position located in Brookings, South Dakota.

The Academic Advisor will work closely with students to enhance their academic success, learning, and development, ultimately impacting student retention and degree attainment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of academic advising or related experience and experience working with a varied population of undergraduate college students in a student-centered environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and coordinating activities to enhance academic success, learning, and development of SDSU students
• Working closely with students to create personalized academic plans
• Providing guidance and support to students in achieving their academic goals
• Collaborating with faculty and staff to promote student success
