About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate nursing professional to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality patient care to residents of all ages in our long-term care facility, under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing various medical procedures.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid LPN license, preferably with experience in long-term care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on compassion, empathy, and respect.
- The ability to lift 25 pounds, push/pull heavy equipment, and stand for long periods.
