Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Purchasing Coordinator to contribute to the success of Chiyoda-USA Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the progress of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
- Execute purchasing tasks as required.
- Generate purchase orders and distribute copies to vendors and relevant departments.
- Assess order costs and allocate invoices to the correct accounts.
- Authorize payments and manage bill settlements.
- Stay informed about organizational and regulatory purchasing guidelines, offering insights to team members and suppliers.
- Evaluate inventory levels to ensure adequacy, placing orders for additional materials when necessary.
- Inspect incoming shipments to confirm order accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Engage with suppliers to arrange or expedite deliveries and address issues such as shortages or delays.
- Compile, maintain, and review purchasing documentation, reports, and pricing information.
- Examine requisition orders for precision, terminology, and specifications.
- Address inquiries from customers and suppliers regarding order status, modifications, or cancellations.
- Track internal inventory movements and complete necessary documentation for bookkeeping.
- Compare supplier invoices with bids and purchase orders for accuracy verification.
- Identify potential suppliers through catalogs and online resources, conducting interviews to gather product information.
- Assess contractor performance and suggest modifications to contracts as needed.
- Prepare and distribute invitation-to-bid forms to supplier firms or for public posting.
