Key Responsibilities:
  • Design high-speed digital hardware systems, including FPGA and RF data acquisition systems.
  • Develop cutting-edge digital modulators using adaptive pre-correction and crest factor reduction in FPGA hardware platforms.
  • Design and verify FPGA systems using VHDL programming languages for Xilinx devices.
  • Familiarity with digital RF waveforms and modulation techniques, including COFDM, QAM, QPSK, and 8VSB.
  • Experience with digital RF communications system analysis using MatLab simulation tools and/or other custom simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with correcting non-linear RF power amplifiers using adaptive digital pre-correction techniques.
  • Design and development of embedded micro-controllers, including ARM, PIC, Kinetis, and Microblaze.
  • Participation in broadcasting shows, conferences, and other events as required.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications:


BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 3-5 years of design experience, 5-10 years of experience in digital wireless communication preferred.

3-5 years of experience working in an R&D environment at a technology-related company.

3 years of experience with RF and digital communications systems.

4 years of demonstrating formal understanding in communication and signal processing theory and techniques.

3 years of demonstrated proficiency with digital HW design, schematic capture, and high-speed board design.

1-2 years of experience with common equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum/vector signal analyzers.
