Job Overview

Position: Weekend Overnight 11p-7a - additional Per Diem opportunities available.

Compensation: $24.00/hr.

Role Summary

The Enhanced Security Officer at OPS Security Group is essential in ensuring the safety and security of the facility. The key responsibilities include:

1. Grounds Patrol:

Conduct regular inspections of the premises to uphold safety and security standards.

2. Enforcement of Safety Protocols:

Monitor adherence to safety regulations and guidelines.

3. Support for Case Managers:

Assist in the resident intake and screening processes.

4. Emergency Response:

React swiftly to incidents and emergencies.

5. Surveillance Monitoring:

Observe and report any suspicious activities.

6. Access Management:

Control entry points and verify authorized access.

7. Compliance with Safety Standards:

Follow established safety protocols diligently.

8. Observation Skills:

Maintain vigilant awareness of surroundings.

9. Medical Preparedness:

Be equipped to handle medical emergencies with CPR, AED, and First Aid/BLS training.

Note: Previous employees or guards of OPS Security Group or its affiliates are not eligible to apply.

Responsibilities OverviewPatrol and Presence:

Regularly patrol the property to maintain order and establish a visible security presence.

Authorize and monitor the entrance of vehicles and individuals.

Secure all exits, doors, and windows after operational hours.

Screening and Compliance:

Monitor surveillance systems to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.

Investigate any suspicious activities or items.

Ensure residents comply with facility rules (e.g., no weapons, aerosol containers, or excessive personal items).

Assist residents and remind them of available resources.

Intake and Curfew Management:

Support Case Managers during peak times (e.g., arrivals from school or work).

Facilitate resident intake at the main entrance.

Ensure compliance with curfew policies.

Additional Requirements:

Candidates must not have previously worked at or been employed by OPS Security Group.

A background in customer service is essential.

A valid Yellow or Red Card is required.

Experience in concierge services, administrative roles, or any service industry is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills are crucial for this interactive role.

Emergency Response Duties:

Respond to alarms and assess situations effectively.

Apprehend and detain individuals according to legal protocols.

Prepare daily surveillance reports.

Staffing and Break Management:

Provide a single Enhanced Officer per shift.

Cover front desk/intake/screening during Case Manager breaks.

Cease roving duties during meal breaks.

Radios will be provided by OPS Security Group.

Prerequisites:

Demonstrated experience as a security officer or guard.

Proven experience in customer service.

Knowledge of legal guidelines regarding area security and public safety.

Familiarity with report writing.

Exceptional oral communication skills.

Strong surveillance and observation skills.

Proficient with surveillance technology.

Ability to be trained in CPR, AED, First Aid/BLS, and self-defense.

Registered as a security officer.

A high school diploma is required.

Must pass a drug screening and background check.

Must meet OPS Security Group training requirements.

Appearance Standards:

Officers must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed.

Fingernails must not extend more than 1⁄4 inch from the fingertip and should not interfere with duty performance.

Fingernail polish is permitted if it does not distract from the uniform.
