About the Role

The Distribution Driver Non-CDL is a key position at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, responsible for delivering wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverage products to clients across the region. This role requires a high level of customer service, sales, and operational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Customer Service: Drive established routes to deliver products to assigned customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Inventory Management: Inspect general condition of vehicle, prepare, load, unload, operate, and clean vehicle, ensuring compliance with company safety standards and regulations.
  • Customer Communication: Resolve customer concerns, complaints regarding spoilage, breakage, and/or incorrect product being sent from Southern Wine and Spirits (SWS) warehouse.
  • Record Keeping: Record route activity and produce accurate and thorough delivery records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect monies owed to Southern Wine and Spirits (SWS) care of the account, as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in the wine and spirits industry.
  • Certifications: Required Department of Transportation (DOT) certified.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
  • Occasional Demands: Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Lifting and Carrying: May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs.
