Welcome to an exhilarating future in the retail beauty sector As a Cosmetics Consultant at Ulta Beauty, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our guest Beauty Enthusiasts, setting and surpassing their expectations for the beauty journey they are about to embark on within your store. As the face of the Ulta Beauty brand, you will have the chance to showcase your passion for beauty while ensuring that the store is immaculate, fully stocked, and prepared to impress guests and fellow associates.

You will achieve this by:

• Promptly acknowledging and warmly welcoming each guest entering the store
• Providing friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous service that always takes precedence over other related tasks
• Identifying each guest's needs and addressing inquiries regarding products and services (collaborating with management as necessary)
• Suggesting additional and complementary products and/or services based on guest interests or items already selected for purchase, promoting the Ulta Beauty loyalty and guest service programs
• Informing guests of current promotions, events, and services within the store, scheduling appointments for in-store events
• Assisting multiple guests simultaneously while maintaining composure during busy or peak selling periods
• Helping to mitigate potential theft of products by delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining vigilance while on the sales floor
• Courteously processing sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Ensuring all resets and planograms are executed accurately
• Setting up promotional displays or arranging merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events
• Maintaining store replenishment throughout the day and merchandising all products to company standards on shelves and tables
• Participating in physical inventory preparation, execution, and follow-up
• Executing receipt of shipment truck within company guidelines
• Ensuring overall store cleanliness including restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and sales floor
• Staying informed about new or existing products (e.g., their ingredients and benefits) to better assist guests

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

Education

• High school diploma is preferred

Experience

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred

Skills

• A demonstrated passion for exceptional guest service, with the ability to build and maintain strong guest relationships
• Competency with sales and problem-solving
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Essential Functions

• On a regular basis, requires the ability to stand, bend, and lift 50 pounds of merchandise for a full-scheduled shift
