Medical Assistant Job Description

Gastro Health is a leading gastroenterology multi-specialty group seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and room patients, ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate documentation.
  • Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
  • Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders.
  • Provide patient education and personal care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
  • Process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol.
  • Collaborate with fellow clinic employees, managers, and providers to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant.
