Pediatric Dental Assistant

We are a pediatric dental office with a passion for delivering exceptional care to children and young adults with special needs.
Our team is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate dental assistant to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients and families with a warm smile, setting the tone for a positive experience.
- Assist dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including charting and documentation.
- Enter charges, treatment plans, and clinical notes into our system with accuracy and efficiency.
- C coordinate patient care with doctors and front desk staff to ensure seamless communication.
- Maintain stock levels in the operatory, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Set up and break down the operatory between procedures, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Take digital radiographs (x-rays) as needed, following safety guidelines.
- Manage infection control, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Adhere to all OSHA and safety policies and procedures, prioritizing patient and staff well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide excellent patient care, responding to their needs and concerns.
- Prior experience working with children and individuals with special needs.
- CDA/RDA certification or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- X-Ray certification.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Dentrix software is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Patient-oriented approach, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Willingsness to learn and adapt to new situations, with a growth mindset.
- A stable employment history, demonstrated through a thorough review of your resume and application materials.
- An estimated salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
