Welder Specialist

Job Overview:
The Welder Specialist will engage in the manufacturing of Gas Turbines, utilizing various welding apparatus, cutting tools, and specialized fixtures. This role requires proficiency with hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and material handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, organize, and assemble materials and components.
- Execute diverse welding techniques on various parts and assemblies in all positions, both on and off the turbine.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Undertake additional related tasks as assigned.
- Contribute to Safety, Quality, and Productivity Enhancement initiatives.

Materials Involved:
A wide range of components including pipes, fittings, welding materials, and supplies.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited welding program or a minimum of two years of industrial or construction welding experience.
- Must meet medical and physical requirements for the Fabricator Operator role.
- Proficiency in TIG welding is essential.
- Successful completion of weld testing and certification in GTAW (TIG) is required.
- Must pass a manufacturing assessment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is necessary.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work in a tobacco-free environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends.
- Availability for 2nd (3 PM - 11 PM) or 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements.
