POSITION SUMMARY:
The Meat Processing Associate is tasked with efficiently executing all essential responsibilities of the role in a precise, thorough, and safe manner while working across various areas of the cooking segment of the production environment, including receiving, microwave room, grinding area, batching, mixing, scaling, spice room, stuffing, smokehouse, and cooking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in multiple functions within the cooking section of the production area, including receiving, microwave room, grinding area, batching, mixing, scaling, spice room, stuffing, smokehouse, and Cook King.
- Safely unload and transport materials from trailers to designated locations, ensuring the accuracy of order contents.
- Remove products from cardboard containers and transfer them into stainless steel containers.
- Feed raw meat into the grinder and monitor meat production levels.
- Load the dumper with appropriate meat products and spices.
- Carry out the mixing process accurately.
- Move containers between designated areas, record temperatures, and weigh products as required.
- Operate stuffer, grinder, and smokehouse machinery competently.
- Utilize high-pressure sprays to clean all racks and containers.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas.
- Must possess the legal right to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for 8-9 hours daily.
- Capability to bend, stoop, and squat as necessary for cleaning and other duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
- Experience in a high-speed packaging environment is essential.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Availability to work 40 or more hours weekly.
- Flexibility to work as needed, including overtime when required.
