Radiology Imaging Specialist

As a Radiology Imaging Specialist at Optum, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and help patients receive high-quality care. This role involves performing digital mammograms, evaluating images for technical quality, and maintaining the cleanliness of the mammography machine. You will also be responsible for explaining procedures to patients and ensuring their safety and comfort during exams.
Job Description- Perform digital mammograms on patients, following established protocols and taking into account individual patient needs
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure that they meet standards
- Maintain the cleanliness of the mammography machine and associated equipment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified or board eligible in Mammography (must obtain certification within one year of hire)
Estimated Salary: $45.00 to $65.00 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors.
