Wet Paint Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wet Paint Specialist to assist in various functions associated with wet paint tasks as needed. This role will work under the close direction of the Department Manager, responsible for preparing and painting sheet metal products. The ideal candidate must be able to lift and handle parts, mask/unmask, mix paint, and perform any touchup needed for final packaging.

• Select/mix appropriate paints according to pre-determined formulas documented on customer/company documents.
• Adjust and operate hand-held coating tools to coat products to desired specifications.
• Coat all size items from small to large, applying touch ups when necessary.
• Exercises safe handling of all equipment and paints as instructed.
• Quality inspects all products throughout the production process, reporting any inconsistencies in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records in paper and digital formats.
• Keeps an accurate report of inventory in work area.
• Understands and proactively sets up jobs based off operating procedures and diagrams.
• Shows an initiative to recommend process, procedure and/or policy improvements to minimize production costs.
• Clean and maintain all coating tools including but not limited to brushes, paint guns, workstation and PPE.

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

• 2-4 years of qualified experience.
