Position Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for directing project operations at the designated office or job site, ensuring project goals are met through effective planning, scheduling, and execution of project tasks from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Actively engage in the safety initiatives and plans for assigned projects.
  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion.
  • Review contractual agreements, scope of work, and specific provisions to ensure all team members are informed.
  • Obtain material, subcontractor, and engineering quotes from a minimum of three vendors.
  • Assist in vendor selection and coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Verify quantities and hours during the reverse takeoff process.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of building systems and their relation to the construction process.
  • Develop and manage construction project schedules.
  • Enhance customer relations and actively contribute to the Customer Alignment Plan.
  • Support and visit job sites, participating in meetings as necessary.
  • Conduct quantitative takeoffs to confirm estimates, order materials, and manage change orders.
  • Assess change requests and update project budgets promptly.
  • Prepare, review, and report on weekly production metrics.
  • Collaborate with the project Foreman and team to review weekly job cost reports.
  • Manage billing processes and approve invoices for payment.
  • Monitor project progress and expenditures, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Create and implement job schedules, coordinating with field supervisors and effectively communicating issues.
  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, making necessary adjustments to optimize profitability.
  • Coordinate warranties and operation & maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain accountability for job cost control through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWs).
  • Provide leadership to the project team throughout the construction development process.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Metal Stud Framing and Drywall Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in estimating, project management, and managing specialized construction scopes.
  • Ability to analyze critical information and identify key risk areas to ensure project success.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting specifications and drawings.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, and QuickBid, with experience in critical path method scheduling software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Capability to multitask, think critically, and solve problems effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and engage with technical aspects of the job.
  • Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and follow through on assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency, with a high level of competency in English for interpreting construction-related documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • OSHA Certification.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
