About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. This is a 24-hour per week, ongoing position that requires a high level of skill, knowledge, and commitment.

As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patients' conditions, and developing and implementing individualized plans of care. You will also work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and provide direct care to patients in the emergency department.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and address any concerns or questions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification highly recommended.
  • Minimum two years' experience as an Emergency Department Nurse; ED experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
