Job Overview

HJD Capital Electric, Inc. is a leading provider of electrical services, mechanical services, and construction management solutions. We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Electrician to join our Electrical Service team in San Antonio.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist our Journeyman Electricians with installations, pulling and running wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures for commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to work with a highly specialized contractor for the Federal Government, state, local municipalities, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Journeyman Electricians with installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings
  • Bend conduit, pull wire, install fixtures, and set up plugs across job sites
  • Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
  • Perform all phases of construction from underground and rough-ins to punch-lists
  • Replace conduit and wiring as needed
  • Be available for overnight calls when required

Requirements:

  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license in the state of Texas
  • Valid and current Driver License
  • Willingness to work on-call at night when needed
  • 2+ years of experience working on commercial stores/spaces
  • 2+ years of experience pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures and plugs
  • Ability to read a tape measure, familiar with basic labeling, and experience with benders
