Physician - Family Medicine

The Primary Care Staff Physician is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.
Essential Job Duties- Manage patient medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient clinical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in GLBHC Quality Assurance activities, contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the establishment of appropriate fee schedules, expense budgets, and program plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Direct medical support staff, providing guidance and oversight to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
- Assist in marketing and public relations efforts, including recruitment of providers as needed.
- Perform other functions related to GLBHC medical programs, as assigned by the President/CEO and Chief Medical Officer.
- Degree (D.O. or M.D.) from an accredited Medical School, with evidence of such.
- Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Michigan, with a valid DEA license.
- Board Eligible, with Board Certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in an underserved area, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
- Diagnostic, therapeutic, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a focus on effective communication and teamwork.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence.
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for an entire workday, with the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and/or twist while holding up to 25 lbs. frequently.
HoursFull-time, Monday through Friday, with flexible and varied hours to accommodate the needs of our patients and team members.
TravelSome travel between sites required, with reimbursement for expenses in accordance with GLBHC policy.
