Avalon Memory Care is a reputable organization with over 25 years of experience in providing high-quality memory care services. We are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to our residents on a night shift basis. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, implementing and supporting resident care plans, and providing a clean and safe living environment.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and restroom assistance.
- Implement and support resident care plans, ensuring that each resident receives the highest level of care and support.
- Provide a clean and safe living environment, including cleaning the home, bedrooms, kitchen, and laundry areas.
- Assist residents with medication management, including reminding residents to take their medications and observing that they have taken their medications.
- Adhere to the organization's alcohol and drug-free workplace policy.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents.
- Must possess patience and understanding to care for residents with dementia.
- Display a positive attitude and have an outgoing personality.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Be willing to take initiative and react to potential crises that may arise in a home for dementia sufferers.
- Take pride in your work and be a good communicator.
- Clear a criminal background check.
- Documentation of immunizations.
- Be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
- Experience working with seniors is preferred, and a CNA certification is preferred but not required.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds.
