This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Plumbing EIT II:

The successful candidate will assist senior engineering staff in executing technical activities required on assigned projects, learning discipline-specific technical standards and procedures. They will also participate in producing projects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learns company technical standards and procedures during project execution
  • Observes and learns industry standards and practices of design analyses using industry software
  • Assists in executing design processes and analysis on assigned projects under supervision
  • Assists with production of designs using Revit and/or CADD, overseeing design development by designers as assigned
  • Performs computer-based engineering calculations and system design functions under supervision
  • Assists the design team in coordinating project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and provide technical information
  • Attends meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed
  • Assists in developing man-hour budgets and performs tasks in accordance with the budget
  • Assists the project team in developing technical documentation, proposals, and presentations
  • Communicates design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment sales representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
  • Accompanies senior design staff in performing project job site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress based on design specifications and owner expectations
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports
  • Actively attends internal and external training and educational opportunities to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas

An ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college with two years applicable experience
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and certified EIT with a state licensure board
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific software (Trace700, SKM)
  • Knowledge of drafting and design procedures and standards
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
  • Interpersonal Skills - ability to interact positively and work effectively with others
  • Comprehension - ability to understand information, ideas, and direction presented in writing and/or verbally communicated
  • Written Communication Skills - ability to clearly deliver a message through written words using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Speech Clarity - ability to speak clearly and in a common language so that others can understand you
  • Detail-Oriented - ability to achieve accuracy and thoroughness when accomplishing a task
  • Judgement and Decision-Making Skills - ability to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out
  • Technical Writing Skills - skilled in summarizing or explaining technical information in a clear, concise, and accurate way

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
